- URA-AFT Internal Staff Postings
Pursuant to the Article 16 of the negotiating agreement between Rutgers University and the Union of Rutgers Administrators, American Federation of Teachers (URA-AFT) that went into effect on July 1, 2011, “For the first five (5) business days from the date of posting, hiring departments will only be able to review URA-AFT internal candidates for vacant and newly created positions which are included in this collective negotiations unit.”

- Faculty/Teaching Positions
Currently, Rutgers University does not centrally recruit for faculty, but relies on individual academic departments to hire faculty members and academic employees. Eventually, all faculty positions will be posted in the ROCS system, but in the interim, to learn about faculty/teaching positions, including part-time lecturer positions and TA / GA positions, you will need to contact the academic department directly. - Service/Maintenance/Trades Positions (Local 888)
Service/Maintenance/Trades Positions (Local 888) include custodial, grounds, maintenance, trades, dining, and other service positions.
- Rutgers University Foundation Positions
The Rutgers University Foundation, which raises private funds to support Rutgers’ students, faculty research, campuses, and community programs, maintains its own website of available job opportunities.
- Temporary Employment
UHR offers a placement service to those applicants seeking part-time or full-time work on a temporary basis. Retirees, individuals re-entering the workforce, and graduates are all welcome to apply.
